Friday's Fab Fortunes {6.8.18}
It's Friday and you know what that means!!! Here are this week's top five Fortunes for which I am grateful! Enjoy!
"giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ," ~ Ephesians 5:20 (NKJV)
More Renovations!!
This week marks week two of more home improvement renovations for us. Every time I walk past one of the rooms being transformed, I smile. Our perfect home is becoming more and more perfect for us with each swing of the hammer, hum of the drill and stroke of the paint brushes. #OurPerfectHome
We Voted!!
Last week, I urged you to "Pray, Obey & Vote". This week, I fulfilled my civic duty and did just that. I decided to take Kayla, our youngest daughter, inside the drop off location so she could see the process. After we cast my vote, she received a sticker to commemorate her "participation." She proudly adhered it to her shirt and for the rest of the day, she announced that 'she voted.' I, sincerely hope that when she is of age, she will recall her "voting" experience and consistently exercises her right to participate in the voting process. #WeVoted
God's Favor!!
Have you ever received a blessing and been able to, without a doubt, recognize that it could only be possible because God's hand was in it? Over the course of the month, God has (as He always does) showed Himself strong in our lives. This time, His favor came from someone we had no real relationship with and there was no "reason" for the blessings, other than God's working behind the scene on our behalf. The only explanation the person who gave us the blessing could offer was, 'You guys are awesome!' We'll definitely take that! #GodsFavor
Birthday Celebration!!
A benefit of being an only child is I get to pick my sisters. Tonight, as part of our Date Night, LT and I are going to celebrate the birthday of one of my cousins, who happens to be one of my Chosen Sisters. We grew up together and have always been very close. She is my big sis, "Bestest" Cousin and past clubbing/drinking buddy (I said "past"). Although we are both adults and have lives of our own, whenever we are able to catch up, we definitely laugh and talk like we've never missed a beat. #HappyBirthdayDreeny
It's Date Night!!
One thing I look forward to most about date night is getting all dolled up for my Boo. Tonight's date was his turn to plan and he's got a night filled with activities for us. Looking forward to it! #ThompsonDateNight
