My Fab Five Budget Friendly Valentine's Day Ideas {2.10.17}

Valentine's Day is right around the corner! Are you ready for it but your wallet says differently? No worries! TC has you covered. Here are five budget-friendly ideas to enjoy with your special Valentine.

"And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love." ~ I Corinthians 13:13

Series/Movie Marathon!!

Find a series to watch together and make it a marathon. LT and I have stayed up, literally, all night watching some gooood series. We set out movie snacks and binge on tv.

If you can't stay up all night, rent a few movies and watch them, back to back.

A Lunch Date!!

Ditch the expensive dinner plans and go for Valentine's lunch instead.This option is typically less expensive, and most restaurants are less busy during lunchtime, making it easier to hear one another while you are whispering those sweet nothings.

A Picnic!!

Pack a nice basket of your favorite food and beverages, grab a blanket and head to a local park, hillside or beach. Some wineries provide a nice backdrop for romantic picnics as well. Remember to bring a music player for additional ambience. Make a playlist of music before and you are all set.

If the weather doesn't permit going outside, bring the picnic indoors, which can be just as romantic.

Cook Together!!

Cooking together is always a winner. For us, I serve as LT's sous chef and we laugh and talk while preparing our meal. You can even make finger food and feed each other once the meal is complete.

Love Letters!!

I am a writer and a reader, so I may be a little biased here, but I don't know many people who don't love reading love letters! I still have cards and letters from LT that he gave me while we were dating up to today and I love rereading them and falling in love with him all over again. Typed letters are nice, but the handwritten ones are always winners. (For bonus "giddiness": read your letter aloud to them.)
