Couple Time!!
I am blessed with a husband who knows the importance of us spending time together without the kiddos. We are planning a getaway and I am excited! #CoupleTime
My Relationship with Jazzy!!
This week, Jazzy experienced challenges with her schoolmates -- typically teenage stuff. I love that she is comfortable talking to me and I was able to encourage and pray with her. The next day she reported that she had a better day because she 'prayed over it' and changed her focus. #TrainUpAChild
Mommy Time!!
Although my mom lives close to us, she respects our privacy and marriage. But just like any daughter, I love spending time with her. This week she came over and I got my Mommy Time. #LTSWifeButMommysGirl
Parenting Win!!
Parents, have you ever doled out a punishment or consequence when your child has disobeyed? Have they ever "liked" it or seemed unphased, thus making you second guess your choice of punishment? That happened this week. The consequence: "You walk to school." Her response: "Ok. Can I walk tomorrow as well?" Fast forward to tomorrow: Her: "Um, can I go back to getting rides because walking hurts!" I think she will think twice before disobeying that household rule. #ParentingWin
National Spouses Day!!
There are a lot of "national" holidays that seem kinda silly to celebrate, although they are fun. You know, like National Green Juice Day or National Peanut Brittle Day, etc. But yesterday was one that I couldn't resist celebrating: National Spouses Day!! I took the opportunity to let LT know how much I appreciate the way he loves me...and a few other things that only he is privy to. (WINK). But it's always great to let your spouse know they are appreciated -- no matter the occasion. #NationalSpousesDay #LoveYouLT
