Darker for the Winter

Now that the weather is cooler, I wanted something different for my natural hair. After doing lots of research on possible color choices, I decided go darker - really, really dark. My natural hair is dark brown but I have lots of wigs that I like to use for protective styling that range from magenta all the way to jet black. I decided to go with the jet black. Actually, the color I chose is a demi-permanent "Blue Black" by Ion. It appears to be jet black but in the light, you can see that is a midnight, navy blue. I really like it. Here is what I did:

2 tubes of color

1- 4 oz bottle of developer (#10)

I followed the directions on the tube and left it in for about 25 minutes, while sitting under my hooded dryer. I rinsed it out and shampooed it. I then used my Shea Moisture favorite conditioning mask, Manuka Honey & Mafura Oil Intensive Hydrater. I let that stay on for about an hour, while I cleaned up a little around the house. Then I rinsed it out.

I love my darker hair!

Please keep in mind: I am not a professional hair stylist. These tips are what I do for MY natural hair. Please consult a professional before coloring or processing your hair.

Selah!
