Friday's Fab Fortunes {9.6.19}

It's Friday and you know what that means!!! Here are my 2019 top five

SUMMER WHOAments for which I am grateful! Enjoy!

"giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ," ~ Ephesians 5:20 (NKJV)

Happy Birthday Grandma!!

In August, we celebrated my grandmother's birthday (which happens to also be the date of our wedding anniversary). Her only request was to spend the day with her immediate family. So keeping that on mind, we came together as a family for lunch at a soul food restaurant and afterwards headed to my aunt and uncle's home for dessert and more fun. It was a simple afternoon filled with lots of love and laughter and I'm sure it warmed Grandma's heart to see all her "babies" together. #HappyBirthdayGrandma

Family Vacay!!

Whenever we are able to get away as a family, we jump at the opportunity. This summer, we took a road trip to San Diego, California and spent some time at the San Diego Zoo, Safari Park and the beach. All the attractions were fun, but the best part, for me, was having all three of our daughters together, making new memories and spending quality time together as a family. We are already planning for the next time. #FamilyTime

Grown & Graduated!!

I traveled to Newark, New Jersey for my cousins' "Grown and Graduated" extravaganza to celebrate Carmen, who turned 50, and her daughter, Ashanti, who graduated from Penn State. The celebration was UNFORGETTABLE! Their family and friends came from all around the U.S. to honor them and we had a BALL! Every detail was fully thought out and executed to the tee! (They even flew in a New Orleans brass band as the grand finale!) Again, it was UNFORGETTABLE! #GrownandGraduated

The Big Apple!!

When we planned our trip to "Grown and Graduated", my mom and I already knew that we would stay with my aunt, Sherill (whom I affectionately call "T-Sherill"), in Queens, New York. During our three and a half day trip, T'Sherill made sure I saw every single touristy NYC site on our list! We, literally, travelled from one part of Manhattan to the other. She was the best tour guide and most gracious hostess. I had so much fun and am looking forward to my next visit...hopefully with LT! #TheBigApple

Our 10th Anniversary!!

On August 7th, LT and I celebrated our 10th year of marriage!! Honestly, I still get butterflies when he calls me "Boo", "TC" and "Baby". I still get giddy when he brushes up against and rubs me lightly for no apparent reason. I still get heart flutters when he whispers sweet nothings in my ear. I still find it very sexy when I hear him praying and being the man that God has called him to be. And I still "like" him just as much as I love him. He's my living proof that I have God's favor! #Thompsonat10
