Friday's Fab Fortunes {12.9.16}

It's Friday and you know what that means!!! Here are this week's top five WHOAments for which I am grateful! Enjoy!

"giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ," ~ Ephesians 5:20 (NKJV)

Birthday Blessings!!

Although my birthday was last week, I am still receiving gifts this week. A dear friend treated me to lunch and I received several gifts! While the gift of her time and ongoing friendship mean the most, the tangible gifts are AWESOME too! #BirthdayBlessings

Online Ordering!!

Some people get excited when they buy new shoes or clothes. I like that as well; but what really makes my heart race are new hair products. (Don't judge me.) The Friday after Thanksgiving, I took advantage of great sales on new hair products and a blow dryer. I received my order this week and it seemed more like Christmas when the UPS delivery person rang the doorbell. I am grateful for online ordering and UPS deliveries! I am also grateful for the ability to do my own hair, which in turn, saves money! :) #KinkyWHOAment

Family Time!!

Sunday, our family set out to see a show in San Francisco. I was excited. But when we arrived at the venue, we got the news that the show had been cancelled. My first reaction was to walk back to the car and head home so I could finishing editing Monday's WHOAment. But instead, I listened to Jazmyn's request for us to "hang out" before heading home. We decided to walk around a bit and it was nice. Spending time with my husband and daughters has become one of my favorite pastimes and I thank God because they want to spend time with me as well. #FamilyMatters

Breaking the Silence...!!

One of my prayers when I released my Inspirational WHOAment, Breaking the Silence, was for it to encourage people. I had no idea that God would also use it as a catalyst to open dialogue about forgiveness, healing from past hurt and loss and moving forward. Although I am not sure what God has in store for that particular WHOAment, I know that however He instructs me to use it, it is already so much more than I can imagine and I look forward to taking it to the next level - whatever and wherever that may be! #BreakingtheSilence

Answered Prayers!!

This past Monday, I released an Inspirational WHOAment titled, Breaking the Silence. Before our interview, my mom admitted to feeling a bit apprehensive because she had never shared her/our complete story with "outsiders". After she revealed this and before we turned on the camera, I led us in prayer. I prayed that our words would be clear and concise and that our conversation would flow freely because the ultimate result was for God to be glorified through our interview. When we watched the unedited playback of Breaking the Silence together, my mom said 'Wow! My words came out so clear! I was very articulate.' After the WHOAment was released, there were so many people who gave us positive comments, most of them praising or acknowledging God for the strength and courage they saw. I believe Breaking the Silence will serve as a catalyst for opening dialogues that lead to forgiveness, healing and moving forward. Stay tuned! #BreakingtheSilence
