Friday's Fab Fortunes {9.2.16}

It's Friday and you know what that means!!! Here are this week's top five WHOAments for which I am grateful! Enjoy!

"giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ," ~ Ephesians 5:20 (NKJV)

Opportunities to Bless Others!!

God blesses us so we can bless others. And in return He blesses us so that we can bless others (again). It's a never-ending cycle of reciprocity. This week, I gave a card to a young lady at our church. The card acknowledged the positive changes that I've noticed and thanked her for being diligent on our Helps Ministry Team. She responded in many thanks and said that she will continue being excellent. That small gesture not only blessed and encouraged her, but I received a note of encouragement this week as well (see Fab Fave #3 below)!

New Beginnings!!

It's September already! For me, the beginning of every month brings new opportunities and possibilities, a "clean slate" so to speak. September is the month that ushers in Fall, the season of change. As I take a moment to reflect on previous months and how far I've come and how much I've changed, I thank God! I recognize maturity and growth within myself. When I look at the next four remaining months I know God has so much in store for me! He's developing and molding me into His creation. I'm excited!

It's interesting, too, that September is the 9th month. In the Bible, the number nine symbolizes completeness. It also represents the fruit of the spirit: love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control. (Galatians 5:22 - 23).

It's also the month that Jazmyn and Kayla were born. :)

Happy Mail!!

It's always a pleasure and encouraging to receive comments from those who read my WHOAments and are positively influenced. This week, one of my readers took the time to pen a note of thanks and encouragement and I was elated to receive it! My writing assignment is one that God has given me and when I receive comments of how a WHOAment has impacted a life or caused someone to stop and think about God, it lets me know that I am walking in His plan for my life.

The WHOAment Process

The process of preparing and posting a WHOAment is not always as easy as it seems. There are times when I hear a message and receive so much from it, I don't know how God will use my words to get the WHOAment out. Yet, as soon as I start typing, God places the right words in just the right places and it flows. It's an epic process and I've learned to embrace it.

Next week's WHOAment is a testament of that. I heard a WHOAment but there are so many facets to it, I am not sure how it will all come together. But because I've learned to trust His process, I know it will be a blessing to me. As I've said before, the WHOAments are for me. I just happen to share them with you. -- smiles.

Spiritual Rejuvenation!!

One of my desires is to have an insatiable thirst for God's Word. I know that when I keep my eyes on His Word and do the things He instructs me to, I bear the fruits: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control, and those attributes bless me and all who come in contact with me. This week, I have spent increased quality time with Him, in His Word, and what a difference it made!! Tiffany the Tyrant did not make an appearance!

Selah!
