Friday's Fab Fortunes {8.26.16}
It's Friday and you know what that means!!! Here are the top five WHOAments for which I am grateful this week! Enjoy!
"giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ," ~ Ephesians 5:20 (NKJV)
I "Attended" an AWESOME training!!
This week, I took advantage of an opportunity to attend a webinar for aspiring authors and entrepreneurs. The speaker is a Believer who uses her platform to lead others to Christ, which is exactly what I see for myself. Through her training, I received invaluable information and tips that will assist in catapulting my writing career to the levels that God intends for me. And it's pretty cool that we share the same first name, although she spells hers differently. (For more information about the author, click here).
I Went Back To Work!!
Sort of...but not really!! This week my former job celebrated "Employee Appreciation Day" with a catered luncheon and my good friend, who was also my supervisor, invited me to partake in the celebration. When I left my 9-5 to pursue my Writing Assignment, one of the things I knew I would miss most about being there were my coworkers. To know that I was on her mind and welcomed by everyone to return for the celebration is heartwarming.
I Got A New Phone!!
This week, my phone decided that it wanted to quit on me. At first I couldn't connect to the internet, nor receive text messages. Which on one hand was a welcomed break. But as an introvert, that meant that I would have to talk to people on the phone. ((YIKES!!)). Then it went a step further and the phone stopped working altogether. THANK GOD FOR LT!! He surprised me with a brand new, upgraded phone and I am back in business!!
The Girls Went Back To School!!
Jazmyn and Kayla started school yesterday, which means I can now establish my routine and focus on getting back to my Writing Assignment.. YAY!
**Note: These are not the pictures I took yesterday. I took pictures of them but couldn't get them off the old phone before it croaked. These are from my "Mommy Stash".
Connection Re-Established!!
Those of us with children know they will inevitability "leave the nest" to explore the world on their own; and if we train them, they will be equipped to face it. Those of us with children also know they don't always want to accept our training and advice. A few years ago, our oldest daughter, Denae, decided to spread her wings and fly, all on her own, without our assistance or input. One of my prayers was that she come to the point where she realized that no matter where she was in this big world, she always knew that 1) God loves her and 2) we love her and want nothing but the best for her. God has answered my prayer and Denae is back in our lives!! She has blossomed into a mature, beautiful, intelligent young woman who KNOWS she can count on us. I'm a proud mom!
